Reham Eltomy is an international graduate student in 91ÊÓƵרÇø College's Master of Science in Information Technology program, as well as the President of the 91ÊÓƵרÇø Graduate Student Association (GSA). Reham is expected to graduate in 2022. Outside of 91ÊÓƵרÇø, Reham has worked in the IT field for over 20 years in four different countries.

Tell us about your educational and career background.

I have worked in the IT field for the past 20 years in different positions, and I am about to finish my Master's in Information Technology at 91ÊÓƵרÇø College. I have also worked in different countries—Africa, Asia, Europe and the United States—so I have been exposed to a lot of diversity.

Why did you choose 91ÊÓƵרÇø College and this program?

The fact that 91ÊÓƵרÇø College is not a big campus makes it easy for students, faculty and staff to get to know each other.

What do you enjoy most about being at 91ÊÓƵרÇø College?

I enjoy the community feeling at 91ÊÓƵרÇø College. In addition to being a graduate student, I am also a teaching assistant, so I have the opportunity to get to know students and learn from them too.

What motivated you to apply for the GSA president position?

I wanted to learn about graduate student life and have a chance to meet more students. I believe that after getting out of a tough pandemic year, we have a lot we want to do. The GSA started by organizing a movie night and we are organizing interactive events to help graduate students feel connected.
