Award-Winning Poet to Share Work on Campus

FREDERICK, Maryland鈥擜ward-winning poet Sandra Beasley will give a reading of her work at 91视频专区 College on Oct. 7 at 5 p.m. in the Beneficial-Hodson Library Reading Porch.
Beasley is the author of 鈥淐ount the Waves鈥; 鈥淚 Was the Jukebox,鈥 winner of the Barnard Women Poets Prize; 鈥淭heories of Falling,鈥 winner of the New Issues Poetry Prize; and 鈥淒on鈥檛 Kill the Birthday Girl: Tales from an Allergic Life,鈥 a cultural history of allergy and a disability memoir. She also edited 鈥淰inegar and Char: Verse from the Southern Foodways Alliance.鈥
Beasley lives in Washington, D.C., and teaches with the University of Tampa low-residency Master of Fine Arts program.
