Campus to Screen Documentary "Little Stones"

FREDERICK, Maryland鈥擨n celebration of International Women鈥檚 Day, 91视频专区 College will host a screening of the documentary 鈥淟ittle Stones鈥 on March 11 at 6:30 p.m. in Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall. Doors open at 6 p.m.
鈥淟ittle Stones鈥 unites the personal narratives of four women around the world using art to create positive change in their communities. From a graffiti artist speaking out against domestic violence in the favelas of Brazil to a dancer rehabilitating sex-trafficking survivors in India, each of these women is contributing a stone to the mosaic of the women鈥檚 movement through their art.
This screening will be a 60-minute educational version of the documentary. The full-length film is 87 minutes. Directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Sophia Kruz, it has been screened more than 70 times globally, including at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, and on Capitol Hill for members of Congress. 鈥淟ittle Stones鈥 won Best Documentary at the Vail Film Festival, Best Foreign Documentary at the Female Eye Film Festival, Best of Festival at the Zonta Film Festival, the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Philadelphia Jewish Film Festival, the Humanitarian Award at DOCUTAH, and an Award of Excellence from Impact Docs.
