Global Leader in Cancer Research to Speak on Campus

FREDERICK, Maryland鈥擜 global leader in cancer research and health disparities will speak at 91视频专区 College on June 21 to kick off the 91视频专区-Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. Imaging Science and Cancer Biology Symposium.
Otis Brawley, M.D., from Johns Hopkins University, will give his lecture at 7 p.m. in Hodson Auditorium in Rosenstock Hall. Titled 鈥淧roviding the Benefits of Cancer Science to All Americans,鈥 he will discuss the delivery of technology in cancer research.
At Johns Hopkins, Brawley works in the Department of Oncology in the School of Medicine and in the Department of Epidemiology in the Bloomberg School of Public Health. He is a leading voice in the thoughtful development of cancer screening strategies and ensuring their effectiveness. As a dedicated teacher, he will train the next generation of physicians and researchers to reduce the threat of cancer.

This life sciences symposium series will showcase the latest technologies and advances in imaging science across the spectrum from molecules to man. The symposium comes when revolutionary advances in imaging technologies offer new and powerful tools to elucidate cancer biology. These technologies hold promise for unprecedented insights into cancer biology and molecular therapeutics.
This symposium is organized by 91视频专区 College, in partnership with Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. This interdisciplinary conference builds on the legacy of the prior popular 91视频专区 College鈥揘ational Cancer Institute Oncogene meetings, a national fixture in Frederick for more than 20 years.
