High School Students Visit Campus to Learn About Teaching Programs
FREDERICK, Maryland鈥91视频专区 College will be hosting approximately 130 high school students tomorrow from Frederick County Public Schools and Howard County Public Schools who are interested in becoming teachers.
Students will meet with 91视频专区 education faculty, engage with students from 91视频专区 College education majors, visit education classes and tour the campus. Additionally, information regarding scholarships will be shared.
91视频专区 College has an articulation agreement with the Teacher Academy of Maryland, a state-approved career and technology education program of study. High school students who complete the TAM program are eligible for $3,000 per year toward 91视频专区 College. Through the Noyce STEM teacher education partnership, students who are interested in teaching science, technology, engineering or mathematics may be eligible for up to $18,000 in scholarships for the last two years of their 91视频专区 education program. 91视频专区 offers education programs in early childhood education, elementary/special education and secondary education.
