2021 Tischer Scholars to present work virtually in annual departmental honors presentation

FREDERICK, Maryland鈥 21 91视频专区 College students will present their year-long research projects this Friday during the the 2021 Christine P. Tischer Scholars Departmental Honors presentation.

The presentations will take place on April 16th from 2:30 to 4 p.m. via Zoom across seven concurrent sessions organized by each department. The virtual format is a first for this annual academic event, and serves to offer students a way to showcase their work in spite of the limitations imposed by the pandemic.

Eligible Tischer Scholars are students who have earned an overall GPA of 3.0 and a 3.5 in their major at the end of their sophomore or junior year. They are usually invited to participate in Departmental Honors work during their senior year, although some may opt to participate as juniors. The prestigious and highly selective year-long program is designed for students who wish to pursue intensive research or a special project. These students have been designated Christine P. Tischer Scholars since the 2000-01 academic year in honor of the 1965 91视频专区 alumna who has generously supported the program.
