FREDERICK, Maryland—91��Ƶר�� College will hold an organ recital Jan. 28 at 3 p.m. in Coffman Chapel.

Wayne L. Wold, DMA, professor of music and college organist at 91��Ƶר��, will perform music by Clerambault, Bach, Grieg and Wold. John Montez, a music composition student at 91��Ƶר��, composed one the pieces that will be performed. Wold will play on the College’s 41-rank Moller pipe organ.

Wold is an active composer, author, performer, church musician and clinician. He earned the certification of AAGO (Associate of the American Guild of Organists). He is editor and frequent author of a monthly column entitled “Musicians on the Side” in “The American Organist.” He has more than 300 published compositions that include works for organ, adult and children’s choirs, and various instrumental ensembles, plus a children’s musical and psalm settings and hymn tunes that appear in numerous hymnals in the U.S. and Australia.

He has presented numerous recitals and improvised hymn festivals across the U.S. and in Europe and has performed as harpsichordist with the Maryland Symphony Orchestra, the 91��Ƶר�� Chamber Players, the National String Sinfonia, the Frederick Symphony Orchestra and Bach in Baltimore.
